The most striking feature of the Girard-Perregaux 1966 Château Latour Edition, produced in an ultra-limited run of just 18 pieces, is the dial’s soft, pale yellow hue. A closer look at the watch’s development reveals the depth of its uniqueness. This model is the result of an exceptional collaboration between the Swiss manufacture Girard-Perregaux and the legendary Château Latour winery in Bordeaux, France.
The dial is crafted primarily from river pebbles sourced from the winery’s estate, meticulously processed and finished. Each dial requires around 30 hours of work, ensuring that no two of the 18 watches are exactly alike. The case and additional elements are made of 18-carat rose gold, and the watch is adorned with 17 diamonds, adding a discreet touch of luxury.
