The Le Petit Prince collection, named after and paying tribute to the classic children’s book, is one of the most impressive lines in IWC’s portfolio. Every few years, the brand introduces new and enhanced editions that continue the legacy of this beloved series. Primarily composed of pilot’s watches, the collection reflects the deep connection of the book’s author, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, to aviation. Saint-Exupéry was a pioneering aviator who famously made an emergency landing in the Sahara Desert—much like the protagonist in his timeless story—and later lost his life in a reconnaissance flight during World War II.
The model pictured here, measuring 46.5 mm in diameter, features a bold ceramic case accented with touches of gold. Inside beats an exceptionally sophisticated movement incorporating a perpetual calendar based on IWC’s proprietary system, as well as a tourbillon escapement. The watch offers an impressive power reserve of 168 hours (seven days).
Price: Approximately €96,400.
