Swiss watchmaker Armin Strom expands its One Week Skeleton collection, a series defined by its emphasis on exposed mechanics, architectural movement design and carefully balanced proportions.
The One Week Skeleton Rose Gold featured here measures 41 mm in diameter and is crafted from 18-karat rose gold, giving the watch a warmer and more luxurious appearance than previous interpretations of the model.
Domed sapphire crystals on both the front and caseback provide an unobstructed view of the intricate mechanical architecture within. The case combines brushed and polished surfaces, creating subtle contrasts that interact beautifully with the light.
As with several other Armin Strom creations, there is no conventional dial. Instead, the time display is arranged around a black chapter ring with prominent hour markers, complemented by rose-gold hands. A separate seconds display appears to float above the exposed movement, reinforcing the watch’s remarkable sense of depth.
The openworked construction transforms the movement itself into the visual centerpiece, creating an ever-changing interplay of light, shadow and mechanical detail.
At the heart of the watch is a sophisticated mechanical movement comprising 194 individual components and 35 jewels. Beyond its striking appearance, it also delivers an impressive seven-day power reserve, combining technical performance with contemporary haute horlogerie.
The result is a watch that celebrates mechanical watchmaking in its purest form – exposing the complexity normally hidden beneath the dial while wrapping it in the warmth and elegance of rose gold.
