The Hour Revolution
When discussing asymmetrical watches, the focus is usually on the external design. But the Mirage by Berneron breaks the rules. Designed for women, it stands out thanks to an asymmetrical movement, creating a striking, almost surreal appearance.
The design features curved elements and a movement that is not circular, but rather shaped to follow the architecture of the watch itself. The creators sought to abandon the traditional round format in favor of a form that allows for more efficient mechanical movement.
The watch measures 38 mm in diameter. The case, dial, and hands are all crafted from 18-karat gold. Its Prussian blue hue draws inspiration from the pigment accidentally discovered in the 18th century, which went on to profoundly influence the art world. The color can also be found in works from Picasso’s famous Blue Period.
Price: approximately €65,200.
