Chopard Celebrates Día de los Muertos with an Artistic Interpretation of the L.U.C Full Strike
Swiss luxury watchmaker Chopard has unveiled a spectacular one-of-a-kind version of its L.U.C Full Strike, created as a tribute to Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), the traditional Mexican celebration honoring the memory of loved ones who have passed away.
This exceptional timepiece stands out through its intricate handcrafted miniature textile artistry, paying homage to Mexico’s rich cultural and artistic heritage.
At the heart of the design is the iconic Calavera (skull) motif, one of the most recognizable symbols of the holiday, beautifully executed on the dial.
The watch is crafted entirely from 18-karat rose gold, including the crown, and features a 42.5 mm case diameter with a thickness of 11.55 mm.
Powering this extraordinary creation is one of Chopard’s finest in-house movements, featuring one of haute horlogerie’s most prestigious complications: a Minute Repeater. The mechanism employs sapphire crystal gongs, a groundbreaking technology that delivers exceptionally pure, clear, and resonant chimes.
This remarkable edition is offered in an extremely limited production and carries a price tag of approximately €453,000.
