Swiss watchmaker Hublot has long maintained strong ties with the world of sports through sponsorships, partnerships and collaborations. Most recently, the brand unveiled a special edition paying tribute to tennis legend Novak Djokovic.
The collection comprises three models, with their colors representing the three main tennis court surfaces: blue for hard courts, orange for clay and green for grass.
The blue version pictured here measures 44 mm in diameter and celebrates Djokovic’s victories on hard courts. It is produced in a limited edition of just 72 individually numbered pieces, corresponding to the number of titles he has won on this surface.
Rather than using a conventional movement plate, Hublot’s engineers developed an intricate three-dimensional structure resembling the string bed of a tennis racket. Each exceptionally thin “string,” measuring just 0.55 mm, is created using an advanced laser-engraving process.
The sporting references continue with the six titanium screws securing the bezel, which are designed to resemble tennis balls – a playful detail that reinforces the watch’s connection to Djokovic and the sport that made him a legend.
Price: approximately €119,000.
