Inspired by the Academy. Glashutte Original PanoInverse Platinum
With its prominent dome visible from afar, the renowned Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden, Germany, serves as the artistic inspiration for the design of this watch. The dome, also known as the ‘Lemon Squeezer,’ is a well-known silhouette in the capital of Saxony. This platinum edition of the watch is a special interpretation of the original concept – to showcase the inner beauty of the movement as the dial on the front. To achieve this, many components had to be assembled in reverse, and new parts were developed that were not previously necessary. The platinum case, with a diameter of 42mm, is transparent on both sides, exposing the magnificent movement. The original movement features manual winding and a 41-hour power reserve, with the main dial decorated using traditional engraving techniques. This is a limited edition of only 25 pieces. Price: 45,000 euros.
