MB&F Legacy Machine Split Escapement
In the world of high-end watchmaking, the escapement is a set of components that allows the controlled release of the stored energy in the mainspring, in the form of impulses (pulses) rather than a single uncontrolled burst of energy. Typically, all three components of the escapement are closely adjacent to each other, primarily to prevent interference from external factors. However, in this Swiss creation, there is a 12mm separation between the various components, with the balance wheel positioned squarely at the front, center above the dial, while the other components are located on the back side of the caliber and can be seen through a transparent caseback. The dial features a textured finish, crafted with meticulous handwork. The movement is manually wound with a power reserve of 72 hours. The case diameter is 44mm and is made of white gold. Price: $80,000.
