The Japanese watchmaker Naoya Hida & Co. is dedicated to honoring the Golden Age of mechanical watchmaking—the period between the 1930s and the 1960s—by creating modern interpretations that combine traditional handcraftsmanship with advanced technology.
The timepiece shown here is designed to compress the intricate details typically found in 17th- and 18th-century pocket watches into the dimensions of a wristwatch. The case, hands, and crown are crafted from 18-karat yellow gold, replacing the stainless steel used in the previous model.
Additional highlights include a German silver dial featuring hand-engraved Roman numerals, a hand-engraved moon-phase display, a solid gold moon, and further hand-engraved Roman numerals that showcase the brand’s exceptional artisanal craftsmanship.
Price: Approximately $56,900.
