Grönefeld 1944 Tanfana
Dutch watchmaker Grönefeld introduces its first-ever ladies’ timepiece, the 1944 Tanfana. The watch is named after Tanfana, the goddess of peace and harmony in Germanic pagan mythology. According to legend, Tanfana was revered in the Dutch city of Oldenzaal, the birthplace of the Grönefeld brothers who founded the company. The model designation, 1944, pays tribute to the year their mother was born.
The dial is crafted from aventurine, a shimmering midnight-blue material infused with sparkling metallic inclusions. Both the dial and a dedicated medallion prominently feature the geometric Flower of Life motif, a symbol associated with sacred geometry and the spiritual significance of forms and proportions found in nature.
Measuring 37.5 mm in diameter, the watch is fashioned from 5N red gold and adorned with 233 brilliant-cut diamonds set around the bezel, case, and buckle.
Price: €118,000.
