The name “Astronomo” signifies the watch’s connection to celestial elements. It is the first Panerai with a moon phase indicator, alongside a GMT function for a second time zone. It also features a unique use of polarized crystals for displaying the date. This creation is dedicated to Galileo, one of the most important astronomers in the history of science. This new model is somewhat a continuation of the Astronomo from 2010, commemorating 400 years since Galileo’s telescopic observations. As the watch is exclusively made to order, each caliber is adjusted for the country in which the watch’s owner resides, ensuring precise indications of the sun and moon on the watch’s case back. The caliber is equipped with a tourbillon, and the entire movement is a skeletonized design exposed within a 50mm titanium case. Price: Approximately $500,000.
