Rolex Submariner Icon Update
One of the most pivotal watches in the world of luxury timepieces—and certainly the most iconic for Rolex—the Submariner receives its first substantial update in years. These enhancements apply to both the classic Submariner and the date-equipped model, starting with slight yet meaningful design modifications. The primary changes are focused around the case, which now slightly expands to a 41mm diameter. The case sides and the bracelet lugs are polished, with subtle updates to the bracelet’s connection to the case and its overall design.
The dial and overall aesthetic remain largely unchanged, maintaining the rigorous standards required of dive watches. The most significant update to the new Submariner is the introduction of Rolex’s in-house calibers 3230 and 3235, both unveiled this year with several new patents. These calibers enhance precision, power reserve, shock and magnetic resistance, and overall reliability. Price: starting at $7,700.
