A watch that is a sparkling expression of the human dream to ascend above the ground and fly. A new collection from the artistic series of Vacheron Constantin pays tribute to the first hot air balloons from the late 18th century. In the center of the dial, in gold, a hand-sculpted floating balloon, rich in details, hovers against a blue enamel background with variable transparencies and windows revealing the time and date. The collection consists of five versions, and each one has only five units. The caliber is from Vacheron Constantin – automatic with a 40-hour power reserve – with the prestigious Geneva Seal. The complication includes, in addition to the time, the day of the week and the date, in separate apertures. The case is 40mm in diameter, made of white gold with a transparent case back, and a strap made of matching-tone alligator leather. Price: approximately $140,000.
