Louis Erard x Konstantin Chaykin
Louis Erard, the Swiss watchmaker known for offering sophisticated timepieces that combine fine watchmaking techniques and artistic craftsmanship at relatively accessible prices, has teamed up with Konstantin Chaykin, the Russian-Jewish independent watchmaker renowned for his imaginative creations and, in 2024, the creator of the world’s thinnest watch.
The two intriguing names have joined forces to create a new version of the Time Eater, a watch with a delightfully monstrous design. One eye displays the hours, while the mouth houses a 60-second tourbillon in place of the seconds hand found on previous models. The hands themselves are playfully curved, enhancing the creature-like appearance. The seconds indicator takes the form of the monster’s small pink tongue, rotating around the sharp teeth inside its mouth.
Produced as a limited edition, the watch is available in two colorways. Each version is sold exclusively through one of the two manufacturers.
Price: €21,200.
