Understatement L’Épée 1839 Two Hands
L’Épée marks its 175th anniversary with a masterpiece that harks back to its roots, featuring a remarkable escapement: the tourbillon, considered the most noble of all escapements. This tourbillon takes center stage, serving as the focal point around which this impressive watch revolves, characterized by its circular and rotational design.
The technological development enabled the creators to position a “flying” tourbillon on the front, which “rides” on the minute hand. And that’s not the only tourbillon—there is another, larger one, around which the entire caliber revolves, freeing the movement from the Earth’s strongest force—gravity.
Only two units of this watch have been produced: one in titanium and the other in brass with a gold coating. The price is $500,000.
