The watch features a sophisticated in-house hand-wound movement, along with Zenith’s Gravity Control mechanism—the mechanical highlight of this extraordinary timepiece.
Zenith introduced the Defy Zero G Sapphire Limited Edition in 2025 to mark the manufacture’s 160th anniversary.
Its octagonal case retains the key design codes of previous models in the Defy collection, including sharply defined lines, a complex multi-layered architecture, and screws positioned at the corners of the octagon.
At the heart of the watch is a sophisticated hand-wound movement developed and manufactured in-house by Zenith. Its standout mechanical feature, however, is the Gravity Control system.
This miniature gimbal mechanism is designed to effectively “defy gravity” by keeping the regulating organ in a horizontal position relative to the ground at all times, regardless of the actual angle or position of the watch on the wrist. By minimizing the effects of gravity on the regulating organ, the system is designed to deliver exceptional chronometric consistency and precision.
Price: approximately €220,000.
